Thanks for the prompt response. I had checked out some of the great sites which discuss harp mods but still wasn't clear on the point I asked about but can appreciate now the requirement of a good light source.
Strangely enough the only two harps on which I have managed to pop an o/b are a M.B Eflat and a Silver Star (a cheap Hohner,) in c,both untweaked.The former will yield a 6o/b and a 4 although the 4 is more labile.The S.S will give up a 6 ok but it really squeals.
