[Harp-L] RE: Toots Birthday

Last night on the local NPR station, Toots was the guest on Marian 
McPartland's "Piano Jazz". I don't know when it was recorded, nor if it has been aired 
before, but it was a treat. A highlight for me was when Toots said he keeps a 
harmonica on his bedside table and when he gets up, he plays "Giant Steps" . He 
then said that - just to "shuffle the cards" - he'll play a tune like 
"Confirmation" in "B".
Really inspiring...
