I have GM's, Sp 20's, LO's, some Suzuki's.
I almost always play the Hohner harps I have. I have
a key of C Sp 20 that I can overblow 4, 5, and 6, and
overdraw 7 right out of the box! Every other harp I
have had to adjust the reeds on to get everything
other then the 6 blow bend.
I've noticed that the responsivness of the overblows
changes from harp to harp and that is frustrating.
Sometimes they choke or require a much different
embouchre. Nature of the beast I am sure.
As far as the ob's being in tune...that varies by key.
Some I can hit almost dead on and other are flatter
no matter what I do.
Maybe I should look at some custom harps.
