RE: [Harp-L] Headset (mic)?

Sorry, I forgot to mention: a wireless headset (so I can easily walk
around).

Onderwerp: [Harp-L] Headset (mic)?

Any advice on a headset for public workshops, for the harmonica-player?

Recently I did a harmonica-workshop for a crowd of 300 people. The headset I
used was plugged in the PA, and had the mic in the area of my chin (coming
from my left ear).

It caused two problems:
- I hold the harmonica in my left hand, so my hand bounced against the mic
- the main harmonica-volume is produced in front of my mouth, not at the
left side of my chin. So the sound guy at the PA had a hard time adjusting
volume between my singing/speaking and my harp-playing (and the harmonica
lost that struggle...)

I think that an adjustable headset with the mic coming towards my mouth and
enough room for my hands is the perfect thing (though perharps strange
looking...). Is there a headset like that (or any other advice)?

Thanks,
