hey Eric,
i dig this amp. i've only used it in practices
(which are much much louder than they need to be) so i
don't know quite how loud it can get before feedback.
still, it was more than loud enough for me. the master
volume/drive combination is great for getting lots of
crunch early on (if you're into that kind of thing.)
i've used it with my SM57 (with the hi-z adapter) and
i've used my Harp Commander in the mix too. i can't
really tell if the HC helps the tone a great deal, but
it gives me more control at my finger tips so i don't
have to walk to the amp every time. and i like the
delay/reverb alot too. a very little goes a long way.
the rig definitely has a certain sound to my ears,
better for some kinds of music than others.
one more thing, there's apparently more than one
kind of "DeVille" - there's a Hot Rod i think and a
Blues DeVille and it comes in different cab formations
- i think. the one i usually play through looks like
two 10's or two 12's.
