I know - and he can make a comb with a piece of paper sound good.
But he told me he prefers to gig with a ceramic element JT30, which he
finds are pretty reliable for most amps - and that (this was in 2003)
he liked his crystal JT30 for studio work but he felt it wasn't wise
to take it on the road. That's a mic he used on "Lookin' For Trouble"
a lot of the time.
BTW - I have no idea what this oddball mic sounds like. But my
birthday is coming up and the missus asked me what I wanted and I
thought - "What I really need is a weird looking harp mic that I know
nothing about..."
Don't tell me none of you guys haven't had the same thought from time to time.
cheers
Andrew

Kim will play anything, most mics have different elements from original that
guys custom make. If it sounds good he'll play it.
