RE: [Harp-L] What is happening with harmonicas in the midwest? (St. Louis area mainly)
There are some great jams in St. Louis, in a set of bars over by Busch
Stadium right across from each other on Broadway Ave. I forget the names of
them, one is called Mardi Gras or something related to New Orleans. The
other might be Beale on Broadway, Wednesday night Rich McDonough Acoustic
jam goes from 9pm to 1am. There's a real nice guy and very good harp player
who knows the whole scene there named Howard Young. He subscribes to harp-l
so I'm hoping he'll answer you, I don't want to give out his email address
here but if you search the list you'll probably find it. He was my 'harp'
tour guide when I was in St. Louis on business a few months ago.
And yeah, if you'll be there when Jon Gindick is having his Jam Camp (4/22?)
I highly recommend that. A long weekend learning from some awesome harp
players. www.gindick.com

Subject: [Harp-L] What is happening with harmonicas in the midwest? (St.
Louis area mainly)
Fellow Harp Enthusiasts,
I've just recently subscribed to this mailing list, and what a list it
is! I was hoping someone might know what kind of harmonica events,
clubs, happenings, etc. might be happening in St. Louis (Midwest in
general) in the near future. I picked up the harp while living out of
country and will be moving back to the states soon, hoping to run into
some fellow harpers to learn from/jam with. Thanks for the help!
