I have been trying to refrain writing (I have already sent
Doug a HBD note) about meeting Doug.  But seeing all of the
kudos' on the list, I have decided to tell my story, which
is somewhat different from the rest.  First- I am sort of a
lurker on the list, reading with envy about all you people
who play the harmonica like I wish I could.

Several years ago when I lived in Odessa FL, I noticed on
the list that Doug had moved to Tallahassee FL.  I was going
to a motorcycle rally ('Coonbottom Rally) up north of
Havana, (just north of Tallahassee).  I corresponded with
Doug.  He invited me to stop by for tea.  So I did and met
him and Bobby.  He briefly showed me one of his harmonicas.
We chatted a while and I went on my way.  It was a highlight
in my limited harmonica undertakings.  I will always
remember it.
