RE: [Harp-L] tri tones substitutions

Good job TB--very close-but there are not 3 notes only:

tritone=an interval of a #4/b5 The Devil';s interval, 6 1/2 steps or 3 whole steps-thus TRITONE
the exact midway point of an octave.
B to F
F to B

works over a dominant chord where B is Maj 3 and F is b7
G7 (G B D F)

subtitute is: a dominant chord where F is Maj 3 and B is b7
C#7 {C# E#(F) G B}

so-when you are in the Key of C and the V7 (G7) comes around, play a C#7 arpeggio and you will sound mighty hip. Blow it, and well...you know.

very handy on a II V7 I:
Dm G7(C#7) C

be careful, but have fun! 3rds & 7ths are the key--and don't forget to swing
