Re: [Harp-L] harp amp

Jon,
The reason I went to a 4X10 amp was so I could hear myself on stage in a
no-monitor situation. It makes for a more enjoyable jam night.
Also, I've discovered that better harp players can sound pretty much (or
EXACTLY) the same no matter what amp they're playin' through, so I've been
hidin' in the woodshed working on my own tone, listening to LW and others
that I think really control their tone well, adding different dynamics to
their music. I can sound thin and reedy, or very dark and full, it's up to
me, not my amp. For example- my amp crapped out and I asked to borrow a
Peavey solid-state pawnshop refugee from the guitar player's reserves. I
played with the settings and miced it up, and it sounded pretty darn good.
I was very glad to use it that night, at least it didn't quit.
