The secret formula?
Develop good acoustic tone, and good mic technique = "Monster Tone".
  With that you can sound monster through a PA vocal mic. Takes lots and
lots of practice.  Another thing that can really help your sound is to get a
set of harps tune to natural overtones - they add a lot of body to your
sound in a way tempered harps can't, amp'd or not.
