When you raise the 3 blow a whole step -- what Brendan Power coined 
the "Paddy Richter" tuning -- you get the 2nd note in the 2nd 
position scale (e.g. the A in the G scale on a C harp), and you also 
get a minor triad in the 2-3-4 blow chord (E-A-C).  You also get a 
nice relative minor scale in 4th position, and if you add the 5OB or 
raise the 5 draw a 1/2 step (making it a Melody Maker) you get the 
relative minor in 5th position with nice draw bends and chords.
