[Harp-L] Re: XLR Volume control adapter.

i have one exactly like this, cigar shaped, not much bigger than an xlr connector. Has a black knob on it for volume.

I use it constantly with my audix drum tom mike d3 which has little to no shaft so the volume device does not make the mike any longer than a normal mike. I will be purchasing the new rob paparozzi endorsed mic, the audix fireball harmonica mike to try on it soon.

I purchased it in germany ten years ago. It is super solid and has never given me an ounce of trouble. If everything was built like this, there would be a lot of unemployed workmen.

I dig this concept wholeheartedly. I need the mike to be precisely the volume I want it to be depending upon how loud i want play or how soft and how loud the band is, etc. Since i cannot always depend upon the sound man or desire to try to fine tune my amp, I use this baby. Also amazingly great for sit in situations. Takes the fuss out of getting a great sound.

Of course, when I use my digitech 400, there is no need to use it, since the digitech has a foot volume.

I can try to borrow a camera and take a picture of it for you. It is really sharp looking.

Has anyone seen an adapter for XLR vocal mics?
