[Harp-L] Re: OB, Tunisia and random thoughts
The "Tunisia" debate brings what I think is an obvious question that nobody
has asked. Because, I suppose, all the debaters are already way too good in
terms of musicianship.
The question is: What if someone is very good at overblows, but is a very
poor musician? Technique can be learned, but some of us struggle musically. I
speak for myself. Of course, I have to approach it more as a hobby, so I'm happy
to make any kind of progress.... And I have not a single aspiration toward
jazz music. I'm still glad to stay somewhat in tune and somewhat in time on
three chords and a prayer. But... it's fun listening to you experts out there.
I would safely venture to say that Michalek, Peloquin, Brooks, Albanese,
Hunter, Fairweather and others can kick butt on most anything they want, given
a little time.
Still a fool for the Harp
