Actually 2nd position is primarily used for country
playing just the same as for blues playing. I've
recorded on numerous country and bluegrass projects
playing both harmonica and Dobro.
If you know 2nd position and what harps correspond to
what keys... you're good to go. Keys that sougs are
performed in are always based on the vocalist(s) range
in any music. Be prepared for all of them, especially
the key of B if you ever play bluegrass.
You can also play 1st position from time to time if
you're concerned with straight melody.
