It may be just another technique but at the risk of sounding trite, done 
correctly it's a very technical technique. If it wasn't, then top customizers 
wouldn't be charging $150+ for specially set up OB harps, and people like Michalek 
wouldn't be saying "I was forced to play an out of the box Sp20 last weekend 
- Good thing it was only a blues gig...."

You can learn "not to bend" hole 2 inhale on an out of the box harp. You 
can't  (ok, make that I can't)  do a clean sustained hole 1 OB or hole 7 over draw 
on an out of the box harp.
