[Harp-L] New Harp Mic on it's way!

Since the subject of Harp Mic's came up, I thought this might be a good time to intro...............

The new Audix "Fireball" Harmonica Mic is coming soon!

This Mic was designed by Audix for Harmonica players
(I helped them along with other players thru their developmental stages) I am very happy with Audix's results and endorse this Mic.)

I hope to demo it out at the NAMM show this Jan.05
I should mention that it is NOT designed as a "Bullet" mic but for a player that likes a 'cleaner' reproduction of the Harmonica. The Mic is flexible enough tho that it will allow you to get more of a 'bite' using the right amp settings.

How does it look? well it's basically a Vocal style (ball) mic without ANY shaft, the XLR plugs right into the Mic, it will be offered in Black & Gold, my test model is Silver. (much less 'weight' to hold along with your diatonic or chromatic harmonica)

Without sounding like an 'ad' for Audix, I also endorse and love their Vocal Mic's as well.-)

The last record I did, LIVE at Jimmy Macks: "Purdie Good Cookin" utilized ALL Audix mic's Vocals, Horns, Harmonica and Drums....and it really worked well!

They don't have any pix YET on their site yet but here is the link to their website:

I'll keep y'all posted

Harpfully,
Rob Paparozzi
