Re: [Harp-L] Larry Logan
Larry Logan modelled his playing style on Larry Adler, his idol. However,
Logan was his own man and went places that even Adler didn't with his
music. He had a very special brand of 'Irish' humour which lit up his
presentations, whether with orchestra , in recital or just in playing with
his peers.
Larry suffered from cancer and had been in hospital for quite some time.
A few weeks ago SPAH awarded Larry Logan the 'Special Lifetime Achievement
Award'. His daughter, Bonnie, was in communication with us and reported
his acceptance.
Larry enriched many people's lives with playing in public and his
friendship in private. His many friends will miss him.
