having just seen jason ricci in concert, i think he
can be nominated. i wouldn't call his band a "jam
band" exclusively, but they do that kind of thing.
also, listen to Adam Gussow. Satan & Adam didn't cut
jam tracks per se, but the way he approaches the
groove is similar. he could hold his own in a jam
band. also, don't worry too much about the dearth of
harpists. listen to other instruments in jam bands -
the sax players in bands like Galactic (the sax player
actually plays harp too!) Critters Buggin' and are an
inspiration. good luck copping from them ;)
