Fwd: Shure 545SD - Ageing

Others probably know better than me (Tom Ellis at Tom's Mics would
know for sure) but I'd say:

1. recent = push-on XLR connector

2. old = screw-on Amphenol connector...

I read that early Shure 545SDs are excellent harp mics, but recent
ones not so. How do I tell the difference ? Is there a way to age a
545 ?

Cheers
