Hohner had won several medals and certifications on regional and
international expeditions for the quality of his instruments. Like in
Ulm 1871 and in Stuttgart 1881, or in Wien 1873 and in Philadelphia
1876.
That's what was stamped in the original MB cover. 

Simply a strategy of promotion and marketing.

On other Hohner covers, up til today, you will find more of such
"successes" like the Grand Prixs of Geneve 1927, Philadelphia 1926,
Paris 1937, Chicago 1893...
