On German harps

Hi all,

my son Harpie is nowadays as old as he was 10 years ago and me seems that
this goes also for some list members who will never learn that harp-L was=20
installed
to discuss and to talk about harp matters (sidesteps included besides=20
political ones).

 I agree with some comments that it is only a question of time when the=20
list-owner
will stop this silly palaver on the issue whether Hohner`s former harps have=
=20
to=20
undergone a denazification, respectively, the actual instruments have to giv=
e=20
up
their "Made in Germany".

I for my part don=B4t care much where the parts are manufactured because I c=
an
do a lot myself. And concerning the reedplates customizers normally have to=20
order
from the factories, hmmmmh, neither Hohner nor any other firm (including=20
Farrel)=20
is perfect.
 =20
BTW, I`ll try to find out in Trossingen why some early harps got the Star
of David on the cover plates (provided, the Star of David was really meant=20
and not
just a similar looking ornament). That the founder of the factory, Matthias=20
Hohner,
was Jewish isn=B4t likely though his first name might point to (comp. also A=
cts=20
1:23)=20
but the nazis surely had expropriated him.=20

Hi, Jens, da hast Du jetzt aber wirklich ein feines Instrument.=20
Your hint that the customizer had Greek ancestors and made the coverplates=20
of rosewood clearly points to Bill Romel. In case, you need any spare sparts=
=20
or
other "adjusting" help don=B4t hesitate to contact me.
