Thanks.  The harp in the audio sample is a well-used, three year old =
prototype, standard tuning, key of G.  Its reedplates were made with old =
stamping tools and required some embossing to tighten the reed/slot =
tolerance.  The production reedplates for the XB-40 are made with new =
tooling that yields a similar tolerance without embossing.  Attack =
response is about the same between them but the production models have a =
somewhat more powerful tone since the close reed/slot tolerance is =
maintained throughout the depth of the reed slots and not just at the =
top edge, where the embossing burr closes the slot.    =20
