the pedal as a kind of distortion box. jason ricci does
this, for example: (from his website) "I turn the
octave effects off and the direct level up, creating
a very clean sort off compression/distortion effect."
he specifically uses the Boss Oc-2 pedal. question is this: why?
The answer is: he likes the way it sounds; it doesn't sound quite like
anything else. That's the only important thing where any effects pedal
is concerned, no matter how it's used: what does it sound like?
I have an OC-2 and have never tried this. I certainly will. Very
creative approach from Jason.
