Hi Vern,
I have a book/cd that might be exactly what you are looking for. It is called
Art of the Shuffle. It is by Dave Rubin. Hal Leonard HL00695005.
The CD has 24 tracks of various styles of blues accompaniment, including
Texas, KC, Chicago, Delta, West Coast. It covers the keys: E, G, A, Bflat, C, Am,
and F.
Although it is a band playing on these tracks, there is no voice or
harmonica, and the guitar is easy to hear. The book has sheet music and tab, and shows
you how to comp chordally just like the rythm guitar is, on the tracks. There
is no lead guitar.
The book is also a history or blues rhythm guitar.
I bought this a couple of years ago with the intentions of learning how to
play blues rhythm guitar. I began using the tracks as jam tracks for myself and
my students.
If you have problems finding this or want to know more, please let me know.
