How to write an appropriate CD review

Hi,

Am writing a short 300 word review for our local blues society, Blues Lovers of San Diego (BLUSD). Was sent two newly released CD's. Rod Piazza's Keeping It Real and Charlie Musselwhite's Sanctuary.  Started listenting to Rod's and am really impressed with it.

Would appreciate suggestions on what types of content seem effective in a good CD review article and some guidelines for interesting copy.
