In my humble opinion it is almost ALWAYS comments like
these that starts the most wildfires [as oppossed to
genuine strong, heartfelt blurbs about
life/art/materials/tone/commies/terrorists/worldviews/
Blues]:
<You're god-damn right it's "their
<town," and why the hell
<shouldn't they let you know it? Considering
<that Jackson Square is where
<slaves gathered to create the amazing drum-beats
<that gave us jazz, R&B, etc.,
<they've got something to be proud of.
And, after the fires are out, the same folks will make
all kinds of comments about us all getting along. And
30 of you will praise the culprit for his cool head.
All I know is that almost any comment made in response
to above will get you censured. I genuinely wonder at
this email phenomenon, and I throw up my hands [and
grab a harp].
