With all due respect to you, Richard,
You probably got dog-piled on 'cause of the "outrageous" phrase you used in
expressing a value-statement about a product that is so highly thought of,
and which you probably knew little or nothing about.

It's perfectly understandable when someone is ignorant about a product to be
unable to perceive the value in that product. On a list like this, one can
often ask for the opinion of those better qualified in order to learn more
about the item in question. This is one thing a list of "experts" like this
is good for.

Certainly the HC is not over-priced, according to many satisfied customers,
and others (like me) who have tried them, and would LIKE to be a customer.
;-) And, just as certainly, the price seems...premium - just like the price
of a Filisko MB, or a Renny. So to refer to such a singular tool as a HC as
outrageously or ridiculously-priced is just mis-informed, ignorant, but
surely not malevolent. Although the phrase was probably ill-chosen, I
understand that you probably meant that you felt the HC was "dearly" priced,
not necessarily "over"-priced.

Hopefully this exchange hasn't soured you on the HC altogether; many
Professional and/or advanced harmonica players of all stripes own and value
the Harp Commander. Ron Holmes goes to a good deal of trouble to ensure his
customers are satisfied with their investment. Maybe someday you'll have the
opportunity to play through one and understand what all the fuss is about.
