Smicz makes the Portablues in an all tube configuration.  It can be
plugged in or run off of its battery.  A couple of folks on this list
own them and they've given good reports.  Not a cheap amp.  Mike's
mention of the Crates bears repeating.  I know someone with a Limo and
she loves it.  Yes it's solid state but my friend says the tone is to
die for anbd she'd know.  fjm
