Re: Spirt Harp Pro

Hi Scooter and Hambone,
I haven't seen or played one, but I've asked a lot of questions about them
a while back when I was seriously considering getting one.

So, FWIW - I was given to understand the modifications included adding a
way to dial the phase using a pot, and preamp tube sub.
Apparently the phase control is installed in the inversion circuit to the
power amp. You can shift the phase from 0 degrees to 180 degrees which has
the effect of reducing the chance of feedback and the added bonus of giving
a way of fattening the tone.
There is an article on Keith Graham's Http://www.harpamps.com website
about this.

The preamp tube sub is pretty straight forward.
I asked whether anything was done to lower the plate voltage level, I
believe this isn't the case. And I'm hazy on whether there is a master
volume control or not, and if so where in the circuit its placed.

Cheers,
G
