When I met up with Rob Paparozzi in NYC in '99, he took me to one of Paul
Oscher's weekly gigs in Brooklyn. Not only was the gig great fun and the man
amazing, he actually invited me to play with his band, which was quite a
treat (and stepping up after Rob was a humbling experience all by itself.

Yeah, great man. 'Knocking on Devil's Door' is one of my favourite post 70s
blues albums. That's why I was enquiring about "Alone with the Blues". I'm
waiting 'til payday to order that and the complete Atlantic recordings of
Ray Charles on amazon.com...
