The old Fender tweed amps make good harp amps because of the simple circuitry
(minimal gain stages, no reverb or tremolo) and the reliability due to point to
point wiring. The Bassman is liked because it's loud and the 4 10 inch speakers
give a nice bass thump.The Bassman is easier to play at loud volumes without
distortion. Distortion can sometimes muddy a live mix.
I would advise you to try any amp before buying, with your mic. Some people will
find a used Fender champ or a Pro Junior mic'ed into the PA will be more than
sufficient.
