Remember that while there are differences in the reedplate sizes and
hole stampings, the Hohner handmade harps (Marine Band, Special 20,
and Golden Melody) use the same reed/slot sizes. Therefore, you can
take donor reeds from any of these other models.

In fact, I have recently started fitting reedplates from Marine Bands
onto Golden Melody bodies to get some of those keys that Hohner
doesn't make anymore. It's expensive, since you have to buy two
harps, but with a little work you make make a right nice low F, low
D, or high G Golden Melody.

An alternate method, though one I wouldn't relish trying, would be to
move all the reeds from one plate to another. Remember, the Hohner
handmades have two slot sizes, the short slots for everything higher
than C and the long slot for everything C and lower.

Have fun and good luck with the experiments!
