Special 20 nailed reedplates?

Today I opened up an old Special 20, and found the reedplates have huge
nailheads instead of screws.
It has been played a lot, and withstood the test of time better then an
average harp.
Does anyone know when these nailed Special 20's were discontinued?
1970's -80's?
