A volume knob is one more thing that can go wrong. Set the volume at the
begining of the show and leave it there. A lot of bands have volume creep where
each set gets louder. In a small club the sound turns to mush. Set the volume
so it's loud enough when you're playing soft. You can add your own dynamics.
