Groove Tubes distortion rating

I just purchased two Gold Series 6L6-GW power tubes for my Victoria bassman. 
The tubes have a rating of 7 out of a possible 10 with the following 
guidelines... 1-3 early distortion, 4-7 normal distortion and 8-10 Latest 
distorion.

Any one have any experiance with a 7 versus say a 3?
