Yeah, I caught him. Kid had lots of stage moxie. Pretty funny.
I remember being somewhat impressed at his relative maturity in this regard:
He kept an watchful eye on Mr. Wonder (hom many veteran musicians make it a
habit to make eye contact with their fellow musicians?) while he contributed
a simple but fast-tempo "chug" that Mr. Wonder laid a solo over the top of.
Yeah, once in a while he would spring a quick 3 or 4 note run over Stevie.
But for the most part, he just laid out the rhythm. He didn't really play
over Stevie until near the very end of the "duet" when things got all crazy,
and both of them were goin' to town.
Whoever schooled this kid taught him to pay attention.
