There are only two kinds of sixths, major and minor.

The interval
 B
 G
is a major third, whether you play it upwards or downwards. If you invert it to
 G
 B
it becomes a minor sixth.

The minor third becomes a major sixth, e.g.
 B
 G#
becomes
 G#
 B.
