There are only two kinds of sixths, major and minor.
The interval
B
G
is a major third, whether you play it upwards or downwards. If you invert it to
G
B
it becomes a minor sixth.
The minor third becomes a major sixth, e.g.
B
G#
becomes
G#
B.
