One last thought on all of this.  My style of admin with the list is 
very public.  You get all these chatty little updates.  More than anyone 
really wants to know about the list.  It's one of the things I really 
liked about Hugh's owner style.  This moves a lot of the day to day to 
the list at large instead of off list and on to workers. fjm
