Hound Dog Taylor's very fine Houserockers band (2 guitars and drums) immediately comes to mind as a band with no bass player.  There are a lot more bass-less bands if you take into account the acts ranging from Paul DeLay to Maceo Parker who have a Hammond B-3 player kicking the bass part with either pedals or his left hand.

If you look for a more contemporary reference point, The White Stripes (just guitar and drums) are worth listening to.  Of course, as a sometimes bass player, my own opinion is that "if it ain't got a bass, it ain't got no ass."  Your mileage may vary...
