I was wondering what would happen to the  harps if they were put into an ultrasonic cleaner, with a very mild soap and water mixture.   Almost all of the dental offices that I know of use an UC on all of their instruments before sterilizing them.  I have some older harps and might just try it out.  Of coarse you wouldn't put a wooden harp in one, only plastic or metal combs.  I think that jewelers also use ultrasonic cleaners to clean jewelry.  I'll let you all know how it works.
