Al Wilson played a flute on that song to try and replicate the quills
that Henry Thomas plays on the original.
You might be thinking of "On the Road Again", where he plays an
altered harp. No overblows, however and not # 1, either.
This is a good question, because it's so hard to think of # 1 songs w/
any harp in them at all- "Good Vibrations", for example. Or that intro
Mussel plays on that Australian band's hit, the one with the lead
singer who killed himself- something about Blondes. No overblows there.
Anyway- I'm curious for the answer.
