Re: [Harp-L] what else do you do?
I practice Bagua and it absolutely helps my music and my approach to music
and life overall. Bagua is an internal chinese martial art that I have been
practicing for the last 14 years after doing an external kung fu style for
the seven years prior. I have been playing music for a longer period of
time. Energy development (chi), concentration, focus, balance, discipline,
practice habits, research habits, improvisation, and performing under
pressure are are a sample of skills that are transferable to many activities
including music, bagua, or business. I have found when I make a creative
breakthrough in one area of practice it does not take long for it to appear
somewhere else in my life. I intend on playing harmonica and doing bagua for
the rest of my life. Nice post... - dave
