less time than it's taking me to write this you can make a crystal mic
sound like it's supposed to (provided you have a good element to start
with)."

Ron asks:

" Are u talking of an amp modification, changing a resistor? I don't
understand what you're saying here - how is it that we can "make a crystal
mic sound
like it's supposed to", so easily and quickly?"

Ron, yes it's an amp mod, but just as easily reversible if that's a
concern. However, if you don't understand such things, DO NOT open your
amp up. There are lethal voltages hanging out in there looking for
somewhere to go. Better to pay someone else for their time and knowledge.
It will be well worth the small cost when you hear the difference it makes
with the crystal mic.

The answer to your question though, is this easy: you unsolder the 1meg
resistor(typically) and install a 5meg resistor. Or make input #2 the harp
input and leave #1 for your guitar.

Harp content: Your mic/amp combo, when set up properly, will sound better
and respond to your playing dynamics, which in turn will inspire you to
play better, and work that mic as part of your instrument.
