[Harp-L] controlled magnetic mic elements (was Harp-L Digest, Vol 12, Issue 30)

JT30's require a special JT-30 cable, not a standard balanced line XLR
cable..  Use a normal XLR cable and the sound becomes very low and thin.
Also, JT30's require a high impedance input.  Run it into a low impedance
and the sound wimps out.

Thanks, mike but when i bought the JT30, it came with its own cable which had 
no end jack.  I added a standard size male end (sorry, my terminology is weak 
- the kind that plugs into a regular ol' gtr amplifier).  I believe that's 
high impedence, right?  The mic never worked for me from the start; always had 
low volume.  Advice?
