2nd HARMONICA MASTERS WORKSHOPS
November 3-7, 2004
Trossingen, GERMANY
Organisation: Trossingen Kultur GmbH & Partners
Concept and Artistic Direction: Steve Baker
The Harmonica Masters Workshops in Trossingen in September
2003, featuring Steve Baker, Joe Filisko, Carlos
del Junco and Brendan Power, was the first educational event
for harmonica of its kind ever to be held in Europe.
The idea clearly struck a chord with harmonica enthusiasts
and over a period of 5 days around 80 students from as
far apart as Sicily and Sweden attended classes, took part
in sessions and experienced their course instructors in
concert. It underlined the remarkable developments in the
European harmonica scene which have taken place in
recent years and demonstrated that there are a considerable
number of highly talented players emerging here today.
In response to numerous requests from participants, we shall
be presenting the 2nd Harmonica Masters Workshops
in Trossingen from November 3rd - 7th 2004 with the
following instructors:
Steve Baker
Rick Epping (XB-40)
Joe Filisko
Chris Jones (guitar)
Carlos del Junco
Brendan Power
The Harmonica Masters Workshops offer you, the player, a
unique opportunity to study your instrument under the
guidance of some of today's leading players over a period of
several days, as well as hanging out with them in the
evenings and watching them in action at close quarters. They
also provide the opportunity to meet and learn from
fellow students, who make up a remarkable cross section of
European harmonica afficionados. There are still
places available for all classes, so register now to avoid
disappointment later.
Details of the individual classes, registration forms,
accomodation options and other relevant information can be
found on the website of the Trossingen Cultural Office.
Please download what you require from:
http://www.kultur-trossingen.de
Due to the fact that Trossingen will once again be hosting
the World Harmonica Festival in autumn 2005, the
Harmonica Masters Workshops will not be taking place next
year. This opportunity won't come again soon, so
don't miss the chance to take part in one of the most
inspirational harmonica events around!
