I think it's worth mentioning that the habit of holding SPAH at remote
suburban hotels makes transportation difficult and basically traps you
in a hotel for the duration unless you go to the expense of renting a
car or deal with all these travel logistics. I remember a few years
back in Denver taking a walk around "the neighborhood" with Ben, and
we felt like bugs on a hot plate. There was absolutely nothing
anywhere to be found.

I would attend more of them if they were in downtowns where you could
enjoy the city as well as the convention.
