As far as I know, people push the reed into the slot to burnish and fix the
reed once the're done. Can't say I like this idea too much. I guess it
depends how close to the rivet end you burnish.
By the way you don't need to burnish to learn overblows. To me gapping is
bad enough. I avoid burnishing altogether by buying Turbo AX harps from
Antakamatics. http://www.turboharp.com/
