Smo-Joe and All,
Great letter, smo - appreciate all the reminders and lifts
from the era. I only wish I had "known" about harmonica and
its history prior to my "baptism" in late 1969!
I do enjoy the story line of "Always In My Heart"
(sentimentalist that I am), as well as "One In A Million,"
"Rascals," "Little Fugitive" (written, scored and played by
Eddy L Manson), "Mad About Music" (with short on-camera
appearance by The Cappy Barra Harmonica Gentlemen), etc.
There are a number of others with short appearances, but the
first 3 above, featuring the "Rascals" have the longest (but
not long) on-camera shows.
There is also "Top Man" with Donald O'Connor leading the BM
Rascals - Novel harmonica ensemble including Sammy Ross,
Dave Doucette, Carl Ford, Ben Burley, Ernie Morris, Hugh
"Pud" MacKaskey, Etto Manieiri, Pat Marquis and Frank Marquis.
Don't get me started! Don't know when "enough is enough!"
Danny
