RE: how to pick up women

Here's a little addition to the post.   Joe Pass, the great jazz 
guitarist was giving a seminar once and as part of the program let some 
of the guitarists in attendance get up to play.  One guy gets up, plays 
a modal based solo on one chord  for about 5 minutes, millions of 
notes, terrific technique.  When he's through, Joe thanks him politely 
and then tells the audience: "Guys, if you want to get chicks, learn to 
  play melodies." Quote may not be verbatim, but my friend that was in 
attendance said he's always remembered the wisdom of it since.
